What is HotDog?

HotDog Patient Warming is an air-free, water-free, perioperative temperature management system with return electrode capabilities. A central temperature management controller sends low-voltage current to up to 5 warming devices.

Efficient warming is then delivered by a flexible, lightweight conductive polymer fabric inside of HotDog blankets and mattresses. This fabric performs resistive warming, which is much safer than other warming systems while also acting as a return electrode.

HotDog is the only patient warming system that warms the patient from above and below simultaneously. This results in a uniquely versatile, less expensive, and more effective warming solution before, during, and after surgery.

WaffleGrip is a thin, single use and anti-slip surface that fits securely over a HotDog Warming Mattress U300 or U530. The unique waffle pattern evenly disperse grip on the patient, decreasing localized shearing forces, while increasing mechanical hold and friction.

The thin, single use WaffleGrip anti-slip surface allows for up to 3.5x more underbody warming with the reusable HotDog Warming Mattress U300 or U530. Even at angles up to 40°, patients will remain warm and secure.

By combining WaffleGrip with the BackSaver Slide Sheet moving heavier patients becomes much easier, saving you from a strained back. The BackSaver creates a frictionless surface over the anti-slip WaffleGrip pad. After positioning, the BackSaver tears down the middle for easy removal.
